Steam and condensate networks in production plants.

Carbon steel piping for steam, compressed air, cooling water and tank farms.
For utilities, supply networks and tank farms we build robust carbon steel piping: new build, modification, repair and maintenance in the Basel region, welded in the Pratteln workshop and on site.
Who it is for
Carbon steel is the economical material for everything that is neither high-purity nor highly corrosive:
Compressed air, nitrogen and industrial gases for supplying plants.
Cooling and heating water between the energy centre and the consumers.
Tank farms and fuel depots
filling, discharge and transfer lines.
Chemical and pharma sites
infrastructure lines outside the clean processes.

Materials and processes
We work with the common unalloyed structural steels and pressure vessel steels for piping, in the dimensions your plant requires. Depending on the requirement, welding is by the TIG, MIG/MAG or stick (MMA) process; root passes by TIG, fill and cap passes economically by MAG, or by stick where accessibility requires it.
Corrosion protection according to your concept: priming and coating, insulation or galvanising by partner companies. Connections welded or flanged, pipe supports and anchor points from our metalwork shop.
How we work
- Step 01
Site visit
routing, tie-in points, pressure rating, expansion concept.
- Step 02
Quotation and design
isometrics, bill of materials, scope of testing and documentation.
- Step 03
Prefabrication
spools in Pratteln, including flanges and branches.
- Step 04
Installation
on pipe racks, in ducts, in plant rooms; work in Ex zones (hazardous areas) according to the operator's regulations.
- Step 05
Pressure test and handover
test report, as-built drawings on request.
- Step 06
Maintenance
repairs, replacement of corroded sections, extensions.
