Transfer lines between tank, loading facility, rail and ship connection.

Industrial piping for tank farms, fuel depots and mineral oil facilities.
Filling, discharge and transfer lines that stay leak-tight and are operated safely. We build and renew piping in tank farms and fuel depots in the Basel region, in carbon steel or stainless steel, according to the operator's regulations.
What tank farms get from us
Filling and discharge lines with valves, strainers and metering sections.
Vapour return and vent lines.
Fire-fighting water and foam lines as specified in the fire protection concept.
Walkways, platforms and pipe supports from our metalwork shop.
Renewal of corroded sections and adaptation to new products.

Materials and processes
For fuels, heating oil and lubricants, carbon steel is the standard, with corrosion protection according to the operator's concept. For additives, biocomponents or corrosive admixtures we use stainless steel 1.4404. Welding is by the TIG, MAG and stick (MMA) processes, on site also in difficult welding positions. After installation we test the line as agreed and hand over the test report.
Working in Ex zones
Tank farms are Ex zones (hazardous areas). Our fitters work according to the operator's permit-to-work procedures: hot-work permit, gas-free measurement, fire watch, tools appropriate to the zone. Work is planned so that transfer operations continue as far as possible.
How we work
- Step 01
Site visit
routing, condition, tie-in points, Ex zones.
- Step 02
Quotation and design
isometrics, material, corrosion protection, scope of testing.
- Step 03
Prefabrication in Pratteln
spools, flanged connections, pipe supports.
- Step 04
Installation
in agreed time windows, with the operator's release.
- Step 05
Testing and handover
pressure test, test report, as-built drawings on request.
