A well-practised team
20 to 30 pipefitters and welders. For large shutdowns we reinforce the team with experienced temporary staff, whom we supervise ourselves.
About us: industrial piping from the Basel region, since 1988.
Wanner & Faust Rohrleitungsbau AG was founded in Basel in 1988 by René Wanner and has been led by Hervé Faust since 2008. Today it is based in Pratteln: 20 to 30 pipefitters and welders build piping and metal structures for the Basel region, French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino.
We don't just build plants – we find solutions.
Our guiding principleSince 1988
Our history
- Foundation
1988 — founded by René Wanner
René Wanner founds the company in Basel and gives it an uncompromising standard in industrial piping.
- Handover
2008 — Hervé Faust takes over
On his retirement, René Wanner hands over management to Hervé Faust, his right-hand man for more than ten years. A transition designed to carry on the quality that had been built up.
- Today
Today — the same standard
The name Wanner always comes first out of loyalty to that reputation: «Made in Wanner». 38 years of experience in the service of our customers.
Company
What defines us
Our own workshop with tube bending machines
Pipe sections are prefabricated in Pratteln wherever possible. Two tube bending machines bend pipes from DN 10 to DN 50: bent pipes replace welded elbows, with fewer welds.
Almost all metals
Most often stainless steel 304 and 316L, carbon steel, Hastelloy and PTFE-lined steel. Also aluminium, copper and other alloys.
Industry, construction, public sector
Mainly industry: chemical, pharma, food, tank storage. Also architects, construction companies and public bodies. No private individuals.
German and French
We speak German and French. This makes projects easier in both German-speaking and French-speaking Switzerland.
